El
10 de agosto de 1886 se realizó la primera reunión del primer Concejo
Deliberante, conforme a la reforma de la Ley Orgánica de las
Municipalidades del 16 de Mayo de 1886, que disponía del funcionamiento
de las mismas a través de los siguientes organismos
- Un
órgano ejecutivo a cargo de un Intendente Municipal
- Un
Concejo Deliberativo que se denominó Concejo Deliberante
En
consecuencia, estando a cargo del ejecutivo como presidente de la Comisión
de Vecinos, el Dr. Pedro José Ballester, éste asumió como primer
intendente municipal, siendo designado presidente del Honorable
Concejo Deliberante, el Dr. Norberto Pérez.
